Fidelity Bank has expanded its branches in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, to five in three years.
The ultra-modern branches of Fidelity Bank in Kumasi are located at the Baba Yara Stadium, Adum, the central business district, Suame, Atonsu and Ahodwo.
The five branches of the bank, which are now the first choice for people in the Garden City for business, were officially opened last Friday at a colourful ceremony at the Ahodwo branch.
In his address, Edward Effah, Managing Director, Fidelity Bank, announced that the bank has plans of spreading its wings in the city by establishing more branches in the near future.
“I have no doubts that we will be setting up more branches in Kumasi and the Ashanti region at large in the near future as we seek to deepen our relationships with you on fronts,” he said.
The Asantehene’s representative at the function, Oheneba Adusei Poku, the Akyempimhene urged banks in the country to support small-scale entrepreneurs to enhance their businesses.
He observed that small-scale entrepreneurs face difficulties in accessing loans in the country, especially the Ashanti region.
Oheneba Adusei Poku therefore implored banks in the country to implement new policies and programmes that would help make small businesses grow at a faster rate.
He lauded the management of Fidelity Bank for their impressive performance since they entered the Kumasi market, assuring them of the support of the Asantehene.
