Vodafone Healthline Wins 2013 CIMG Best TV Programme

The multi award winning TV programme Vodafone Healthline over the weekend won the 2013 CIMG award for Best TV programme. The famous TV programme has won this award two years in a row.

The Vodafone Healthline which started airing in June 2013 has enjoyed massive viewership nationwide as it educates Ghanaians on important health issues and sponsors medical treatment for patients who need urgent medical attention but cannot afford the cost.

The Healthline programme through this has helped transform and save a many of lives across the country. Since its beginning three years ago, it has sponsored over 100people across the country that needed surgery because of a serious medical condition but are not able to afford.

On innumerable occasions, inhabitants of the various towns and regions where the Healthline feature patients come from have registered their satisfaction and gratitude to Vodafone for this initiative. The Healthline TV programme has indeed come to touch many lives.

Since the beginning of the Vodafone Healthline, the live changing programme has received about eight international and national awards, some of which are; CIMG TV Programme of the Year - Healthline - 2013 CIMG TV Programme of the Year - Healthline – 2011,Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Best CSR Initiative – Healthline, Radio and Television Personality Awards - Overall TV programme of the year (Healthline)Security Africa Watch - CSR Programme of the Year, Africa Prize For Transformational Leadership Award For Excellence in Corporate Philanthropy - for Healthline .

Undoubtedly, the Vodafone Healthline has been well embraced by Ghanaians and has made a memorable mark.
