GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited has made a sponsorship donation of GH 5000 to support the International beer and wine festival scheduled from 12 -14 February, 2014 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Making the Presentation the Head of Sales and Marketing for GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited Mr. William Thomas Quaye said supporting this laudable industry initiative is always our pleasure adding that GIHOC has over the past years consistently supported festivals all over the country in diverse ways and this platform is a targeted unique one which will draw them closer to their consumers and the general public.

Mr. Quaye noted that the beverage industry is a key player in the transformation of Ghanas economy into a major manufacturing value within the sub-region to create more jobs for our teeming youth while promoting our culture values.

He said the International Beer and Wine festival will also serve as a platform for GIHOC distilleries to re-introduce some of it latest brand such as Sorento, Che Valier bandy to the general public.

Receiving the Cheque Mr. Lawrence Yeboah, Sponsorship and Event Executive of the International Beer and Wine Festival Planning Committee thanked GIHOC distilleries for their kind gesture.

Mr. Yeboah noted that since the launch of the event on January 10, 2014 over 25 exhibitors from the winery sectors have registered to participate and I believe this event will be successful.

The three day event which is on the theme Tickle Your Taste Buds-Tickle Your Love Life will attract manufactures, distributors and it will afford visitors the opportunity to taste both local and International beer and wine at the event.

In addition, the festival will also offer a national shopping marketplace, demonstrations and educational seminars on love, life and sex and health benefits of beer and wine by prominent professionals with the health and counseling backgrounds. Popular local musical artists and traditional culture troupes are expected liven up the atmosphere with endearing tunes hence the festival will be filled with music, fun, great brews and educative seminars.

The event would also help to deal effectively with the excesses and social risks of alcohol abuse through healthy interactive sessions and identify opportunities for the local businesses .He noted

The festival is an initiative of Infocus PR, an International Communications, Public Relations, Media Relations, Event Management, Marketing and Promotions Company and Royal Protocol Services with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
