Winners of the Tonaton.com “Post & Win” promotion received their prizes today at a brief ceremony held at the offices of Tonaton.com in Dzorwulu, Accra.

The promotion which ran for a six week period awarded random winners; individuals who had been posting a free ad in a creative manner on the website.

The prizes given out were Samsung S4 mobile phones and the beneficiary customers were:

Awuraama Abrafi Brefo – posted a beautiful collection of bags made from African print

Joshua Nyako - posted a herd of goats for sale during the Christmas festivities

Kwabena Mensah – posted a 1992 Jaguar which was the oldest car uploaded on the site during the promotional period

The winners expressed appreciation for the prizes.

According to Awuraama Brefo, she has been a regular user of Tonaton.com since June 2013.

“Tonaton.com has been the most effective online classifieds platform I have ever used to sell my stuff in Ghana. Prior to posting my ads on Tonaton.com it was hard to find any cost effective strategies that will increase my sales since I did not have enough money for adverts on radio and television.

“The number of buyers who call to express interest in my bags and other accessories via Tonaton.com has been tremendous,” She said.

Winners were presented with their prizes by the Marketing Manager, Kwabena Opoku-Boakye.

Speaking on behalf of Tonaton.com, he noted that the company was rewarding customers for embracing the brand and making it the second biggest local website within eight months of operations in Ghana.

(Source: Alexa.com). He encouraged Ghanaians to keep posting their used items on the website since it offers them the biggest platform to post their free ads and connect with people who are looking for great deals on the market.
