Mantrac Ghana Limited, the sole authorized Caterpillar dealer in Ghana and pioneer in heavy duty machine sales, has introduced its latest machinery technology onto the Ghanaian market.

The AccuGrade Grade Control System brings to the customer an increase in productivity by up to 40 percent while reducing their site costs dramatically.

The technology was unveiled during a customer seminar dubbed the 2014 CAT Road Construction Solutions Seminar to introduce participants to the latest machinery and technologies available in global construction.

The revolutionary Caterpillar solution is factory integrated, sensor-independent, and features a suite of products which includes cross slope, sonic, laser, GPS, and ATS technology.

Mantrac Ghana is part of the Mantrac Group which holds Caterpillar dealership in over 9 countries across 3 Continents. They have been in the forefront of supplying Cat Construction and Mining equipment for over 75 years.

Mr. Emad Adeeb the Managing Director of Mantrac Ghana said In todays competitive world of construction, contractors are facing a lot of challenges to maximize their productivity and lower their operating cost. New technologies in machinery and production can significantly improve your bottom line profitability and your projects overall success.

According to Mr. Emad Adeeb, Mantrac Ghana over the years has been able to offer customized equipment to the growth of the industry.
We currently sell New Machines, rental and Cat Certified Used Machines aside the Mining Equipment, Forklifts and the legendary Caterpillar and Olympian Brand of Generating sets.

"We keep changing and upgrading the models for ease of use; hence customers seminars are used to reduce training costs and improve contact with our customers, giving them opportunity to sample the machines as well," he noted.

Mr. Emad Adeeb said the companys quest to well position itself in the Mining, Oil and Gas sectors was backed by the a 30 million Dollar investment in the construction of Cat Engine Rebuild Center to support Ghana and the West Africa sub region.

According to him, the project comprises of over 26 acre workshop including 10,000 square meter repair center and over 5,000 square meter warehouse is expected to be completed next year.

Concerning the global crisis facing the mining sector as a result of falling Gold price which compelled some of the companys key customers to lay off workers, Mr. Emad Adeeb noted that, his company has already ventured into other sectors such as Estate as well as Oil and Gas, and therefore the dwindling fortune of the mining sector will not affect them.

Combining digital design data, in-cab operator guidance features, and automatic blade controls, the AccuGrade Control System seeks to enhance grading accuracy and virtually eliminates the need for survey stakes.

In a speech read on behalf of the Road and Highways Minister by his Deputy, Hon Isaac Adjei Mensah, he said the construction industry is a major contributor to national development, accounting for about 9% of the country's GDP in the last three (3) years.

It is my hope that the new technologies in machinery and production to be introduced at this seminar will go a long way to improve the efficiency of our contractors. My Ministry is open to innovative ideas from the private sector that will improve the equipment holding of our contractors.

I take this opportunity to urge you to explore the business opportunities and arrange for flexible terms for the road contractors to own construction equipment and improve on their delivery within the road construction industry, he concluded.

Present at the seminar were the Honorable Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, Hon. Isaac Adjei Mensah, Officials from Ghana Road Contractors Association, Progressive Road Contractors, Cherished Mantrac Customers, and the Media.
