The management team of the RAID brand in Ghana has held mini launch events for the Raid “Scratch Your Way to Riches” Promotion in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi, at which they also interacted with and educated distributors, wholesalers and retailers of the product about the promotion.

Welcoming trade partners in Accra, the Country Manager, Doris Afanyedey, said “the RAID brand has enjoyed strong market leadership for 52 years in Ghana. It is a household name with highest brand equity and trust-worthy rating in the Ghanaian home”.

She also reassured consumers and encouraged them to continue to rely on the product for its efficacy and safety as the company continues to invest into research and development efforts at its specialized entomology unit located in the headquarters at Racine, Wisconsin in the USA.

Speaking to wholesalers and retailers in Kumasi last week, the Sales Manager, Michael Laryea said; “the Raid Scratch Your Way to Riches Promotion is a nationwide shopper and retailer reward scheme designed to rekindle the trust and confidence of their loyal consumers and reward them for their long patronage of Raid for all these years.

The Raid Scratch Your Way To Riches promotion will run till 13th December, 2014 and is designed to be an exciting and interactive activity to reward the shopper and retailer with instant talk-time as well as the chance to win cash prizes weekly.

The Head, Customer Marketing, Bernard Buamah outlined the mechanic for the promotion as follows;

• Scratch cards bearing pin numbers can be found on every Raid can.
• Shoppers are required to scratch and text to a designated short code (1751).
• Amount of talk-time won is automatically credited to their phone and a text message to confirm same sent in under 10 seconds.
• Non-winners receive auto response to try again.
• Talk-time or credits valued up to GHS 50.00 on MTN, VODAFONE, TIGO & AIRTEL only and cash up to GHC 2,000 will be won EACH week.
• To create further excitement and prompt multiple entries, there will be an e-draw each week.
• This will be conducted by the National Lottery Authority to ensure integrity of the process.
• Winners of cash prizes will first be announced on radio and Press after the first 4 weeks along with all previous airtime winners. Another draw will be held after the 8th week as the final one.
• In order to reward retailers or wholesalers, they shall also be given the chance to win talk-time as well.
• A scratch card will be placed inside each case of MIK before shipment.
• Retailers may follow the same procedure to redeem their talk-time as stipulated for shoppers.
