Mohammed Mubarak Abdulai alias Ras Mubarak, an activist of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) an unrepentant critic of the Mills administration, has once again launched a blistering attack on the current government accusing them of compromising the security of the state in ways unimaginable.
In his latest treatise cum anti-Mills tirade, the NDC youth activist stated that there is a calculated attempt to provoke the youth of the ruling party, especially supporters of the former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to wrath.
Ras Mubarak contends that the plan to launch a campaign song for the 2012 presidential election at a time when the party is JUST three weeks away from electing a candidate for the polls is to say in the least, provocative, adding that President Mills is playing with the future of the NDC and testing the patience of the party's faithfuls and Ghanaians generally.
The questions observers are asking are - "what is the rush?" "Why couldn't they just wait until a leader is elected?...It may be quite difficult for many of our members to remain patient in the face of such belligerence from our elected President and his supporters," Ras Mubarak said.
The NDC youth firebrand who believed President Mills and the hawks around him are bent on sending the country into a state of righteous outrage and violence, however, appealed to all Ghanaians, to remain resolute and patient.
the outcome of peace and stability in our country is not ours alone to determine. The actions of the President and his people, will help to shape the ultimate decision. The use of force to defend the freedoms fought and won for Ghanaians could not be avoided. I shall therefore like to humbly appeal to President Mills, to abandon his aggression. We ask only for a level playing field and a fair congress. Anything else will increase, not decrease the use of righteous violence, he said.
Below is the latest open letter to President Mills by Ras Mubarak.

PRESS STATEMENT: GHANAIANS MUST NOT RULE OUT FORCE IF MILLS DOES NOT ABANDON HIS AGGRESSION
Brethren,
The people of Ghana and our friends in the International Community must be feeling ashamed of the reckless and unpatriotic activities of the current government led by J.E.A. Mills. The security and progress of our country are being compromised in ways unimaginable today.
There is a calculated attempt to provoke the youth of the ruling party, especially supporters of the former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to wrath.
The latest in the series of aggressive moves, is a plan to launch a campaign song for the 2012 presidential election at a time when the party is JUST three weeks away from electing a candidate for the polls for which the songs would be composed.
This launch is happening on Saturday June 25, 2011, under the auspices of the current leader, J.E.A. Mills.
The questions observers are asking are - "what is the rush?" "Why couldn't they just wait until a leader is elected?" In Marketing or Political campaigning, it is unheard of to launch an advert without a product - The product in this case being a candidate. It is simply unbelievable.
Fellow Ghanaians, the forthcoming launch of a campaign song is provocative. President Mills, I'm sorry to say is playing with the future of the NDC and testing the patience of the party's faithfuls and Ghanaians generally.
It may be quite difficult for many of our members to remain patient in the face of such belligerence from our elected President and his supporters.
The NDC has been taken over by the special interest groups whose aggression pale in comparison to any form of internal tyranny we may have seen in the last ten years.
We live in extremely difficult times, but we must remain for peace in our country and work for achieving that. We must not make the mistake of playing into the hands of our current leader and the hawks around him.
The government, is hounding even members from its own political party, and just yesterday, a Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council was dismissed arbitrarily with immediate effect.
Mr. Gyanfi Brogya, also known as Armani, is a thoroughbred member of the NDC in Kumasi. He is a victim of intolerance and bigotry.
There couldn't have been a more compelling reason why voting at the forthcoming NDC delegates congress must not be conducted according to regional blocks as proposed.
Armani was sacked, apparently on suspicion of being a supporter of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, who is challenging the current president for the leadership post in the ruling NDC.
Mills and his gang would not hesitate to use the outcome of the polls to hound appointees whose constituencies and regions couldn't deliver "the will of the president."
Freedom and democracy grow by persuasive action. But freedom and progress will not come about if we yield to aggression. There is work for all Ghanaians to do - Our objective must be to work for peace and do everything to prevent the horrors of the late 70s.
It gives a man great humility and a sense of great inadequacy to ask a person whose patience has been stretched to continue to remain patient, but may I take it upon myself to appeal to all Ghanaians, to remain resolute and patient.
I have no doubt in my mind, that Mills and his gang are bent on sending us into a state of righteous outrage and violence, but we must resist this temptation.
The nation must use all peaceful means not to yield to the aggression of the government, but we must not rule out the use of force to defend our country and party in the future.
The NDC and the rest of the nation must continue to work honestly and wholeheartedly towards defending our democracy and maintaining peace; but we must remember, that the outcome of peace and stability in our country is not ours alone to determine.
Anything else will increase, not decrease the use of righteous violence.
This is the time to help our compatriots who have the misfortune of poverty and ignorance. This is the time to ignite the creativity of our people towards economic self-reliance, to fulfill the profound longing of economic progress and the rule of law in Ghana.
We must not be discouraged by difficulties and setbacks. We must be no less firm, no less resolute and no less steadfast than the people who fought and won our freedoms.
Let us make democracy work and defend it from its enemies. Righteous violence, would be horrifying not for the aggressors, but for the victims of aggression too. The stakes are too large to let us slip. The country's hope for peace, lie not in vain promises, abstract ideas of democracy and pretentiousness, but in helping our countrymen to meet the aspirations of their daily lives.
