The Progressive People’s Party (PPP), yesterday organized a high delegation youth conference for its Regional and Constituency Youth Coordinators to plan ahead for the party’s participation in the 2016 general elections.
The maiden event which took place in Accra brought together all ten (10) Regional Youth Coordinators affectionately known Progressive Youth Movement (PYM).
The occasion was graced by the National Chairman, Nii Allottey Brew Hammond, the General Secretary, Kofi Asamoah-Siaw and the National Youth Coordinator, Divine Nkrumah.
The Conference was to afford the PPP chart a way forward.
The PYM agreed unanimously that they (Youth) are the cutting edge of the party and the future of the party hence they promised to work very hard to unseat the ruling National Democratic (NDC).
They pledge to cash in on tertiary institutions to make sure that students are made members of the party to ensure the party’s and national development respectively.
The youth agreed that there is lot to be done in the party and for the country hence the need to empower young people.
The party further assured Ghanaians of its commitment to work harder to bring development to the country.
It also charged young people to join the party since their thoughts and commitments will go a long way to bring them the jobs, quality and accessible education they are yearning for.
