This is to notify the general public that the Cape Coast High Court has placed an injunction on the much anticipated Effutu Constituency demonstration against the Electoral Commission of Ghana. This was after the Ghana Police Service had applied to the court for an Ex Parte injunction.
The Effutu constituency, led by its 2020 parliamentary candidate, James Kofi Annan, and the constituency executives, have planned a massive demonstration against the Jean Mensa-led Electoral Commission, in solidarity with their flag bearer, H. E. John Dramani Mahama, and also against what they call “the Effutu ECOWAS Register “ in the Effutu constituency. They believe the Effutu constituency voters register is hugely over bloated with voters imported from the neighboring constituencies, and that the true winners of the 2020 parliamentary and presidential elections are James Kofi Annan and John Dramani Mahama respectfully, but for the Effutu ECOWAS register, and Jean Mensa’s lack of transparency in the declaration of the presidential results.
The intended demonstration was scheduled in Winneba for the coming Tuesday January 5, 2021.
According to the constituency secretary, Abraham Arthur, the party has called for a general meeting (made up of all branch executives), tomorrow Sunday, to discuss and agree on the way forward, and other courses of action.

It appears people have time for ***barred word***. Mahama tells you that he won the election and for that matter you hit the streets in support for him. You chant "No Mahama, no peace". He further states states some percentages giving meaning to the fact that he actually made over the 50% mark. Now, this same Mahama petitions the supreme court and in the petition he States that no candidate got more than the 50% mark. As a result, he is requesting for a run off for the presidential elections. Hope you are not ***barred word*** enough to known he and his team are making a ***barred word*** out of you guys. Think and prove to the world that you also have brains in your heads. Don't just allow any politician to take you for granted. A word to the wise is enough.
So I wonder why the NDC deem fit to organize riots when the matter is before the court. At least wait for the verdict before you decide on anything. Don't make Ghana ungovernable. We, the ordinary Ghanaians suffer most. Your politicians and his family members already have visas to escape in the event of unrest.
@Papa Dan, please go on a needful and purposeful demonstration and you will have the support of the whole country but not such demonstration. I am an NDC person but will not support any lawless actions. We have taken our case to court and we should allow them to work. Please with all due respect what change can we demonstrating from north to south and east to west make to the election results if we do not go to court?
WHERE FROM THIS DICTATORSHIP TENDENCIES? WHAT DOES THIS GOVERNMENT SEEK TO ACHIEVE WITH THIS CULTURE OF SILENCE? TRYING TO SUPPRESS THE PEOPLE'S RIGHTS? GOD IS ALIVE, WE SHALL SEE
