Reports reaching Radio Ghana say the Liberian vessel which was
allegedly hijacked in Ghana's territorial waters has been found in Nigeria.
3.500 metric tonnes of diesel and
personal belongings of the crew were stolen.
Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel Emmanuel Aggrey Quarshie said MT 'Fair Atemis' will berth at the Tema Harbour on Friday at 8am.
Meanwhile, The Minister for The Interior, Kwesi Ahwoi is calling for joint border patrol among security agencies.
Notwithstanding limited resources within the security agencies, Mr. Ahwoi believes team work will enable them effectively protect the country's land frontiers.
The Minister for the Interior was speaking at the opening of a two -day conference for Commanders of the Border Patrol Unit (BPU) of the Ghana Immigration Service in Accra.
