A sad story unfolded as armed men attacked and killed four occupants of a bullion van in a village near Gambaga in the Northern region.
Two police escorts, a driver and an official of the East Mamprusi Community Bank happened to be the victims which occurred on Thursday. The police report that the attackers might have been looking for arms and not money.
The Gambaga District Police Commander, ASP Attabam Quarshie gave the names of the deceased police officers as Constable Jacob Tabalin and Constable George Nyikoa. The driver was Iddrissu Fuseini and the bank official, Tia Mahama Joshua.
