President John Evans Atta Mills on behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, congratulated India on the occasion of the country's 62nd Independence day.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mrs Georgina Djameh, Deputy Director, Information and Public Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, on behalf of the sector Minister.
It indicated that the President said " It is my sincere hope that succeeding anniversaries will witness a further strengthening of the bonds of friendship and cooperation, which happily exist between our two countries and people." The President wished the people of India good health, progress and prosperity.
