For the second time this year, the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) has prevented the former Minister of Information, Hon. Asamoah Boateng and family from traveling outside the country.
Speaking on Peace FMs Morning Show, Kokrokoo the ex-Minister confirmed the incident and revealed that, he and his family had boarded a British Airways flight and were getting ready for take off when they were asked to disembark by a gentleman who introduced himself as Stephen Abrakwah from BNI.
He claimed he was acting on behalf of others from above. Mr Asamoah Boateng argued with the officer for about 20 minutes until orders came from above to ground the plane if he (Asa B) wouldnt get off the plane. In the end, the ex-minister and his family had to get down.
Mr Boateng lamented that he had been cleared by court to travel and is at a loss why the BNI is harassing him this way. He quotes a biblical proverb, saying the Bible says my hair are not only counted but also numbered as well. He disclosed that they were embarrassed at the airport and that he described as unfair.
