The Senate has described the death of Ghanaian President Attah Mills as a colossal loss that will shake the African continent.
The spokesman of the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, in a statement today, described Mills as a simple and quintessential African statesman who would be sorely missed.

The spokesman of the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, in a statement today, described Mills as a simple and quintessential African statesman who would be sorely missed.
According to Abaribe, the Senate is of the view that President Mills� recent election victory as an opposition party candidate made Ghana one of the stable and
matured democracies.
"In that case, he would be remembered mostly for his astuteness in the political turf and forthright in entrenching deep democratic culture in Ghana nay Africa.
"The Senate therefore condoles the government and people of Ghana on the death of this illustrious African patriot", he said.
