Officials of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) questioned three people in connection with Wednesday's Melcom Shopping Complex disaster on Thursday.
The three; Ramesh Sadhwani, Co-Managing Director of Melcom, Victor Mensah, also from Melcom and the Works Director of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly are believed to have acted negligently resulting in the collapse of the Achimota branch of the Melcom shop which has claimed nine lives so far.
The decision to question the three follows the directive from President John Dramani Mahama that investigations must be carried out into the disaster.
The President on Wednesday said those whose negligence led to the tragedy "will pay a price.
A six-storey Melcom shopping complex collapsed on Wednesday at Achimota but the rescue team has however been able to retrieve about 76 of the victims; nine of whom died.
