Atta Akyea, Lawyer for Nana Boadu Nkansah Ayeboafo, owner of the collapsed Melcom building, will be heading to court on Friday to request bail for his client following the adjournment of the case by the Human Right Court.
The Melcom shopping mall at Achimota-Neoplan collapsed on Wednesday, November 7 killing at least 14 people and injuring 68 others.
The owner of the building, Nana Boadu Nkansah Ayeboafo turned himself in to assist in investigations and has been in the custody of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) since then.
He has subsequently been charged for negligently causing harm under the criminal code, Act 29.
His lawyer, Atta Akyea has said his client is being treated unfairly and deserves better.
