A wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the Revolution Square in Accra on Monday to mark the 31st anniversary of the 31st December Revolution led by former President Jerry John Rawlings.
A statement from the cadres said the Guest of Honour would be the former president, who seized power on 31st December 1981 and went on to rule for two decades, first as a military leader and then a democratically-elected president who won two elections in 1992 and 1996.
He will also light the perpetual flame at the ceremony that begins at 0800 GMT.
"The Cadre leadership calls on all their colleagues, sympathisers and supporters of the 31st December Revolution to come join hands in remembering those who laid down their lives in defence of the true spirit of the revolution," the statement said.
