The Greater Accra Regional Police Command says it has no power to close down the Ghana branch of the Synagogue Church of All Nations.
Speaking to Citi News, Greater Accra Regional Police PRO, DSP Freeman Tettey indicated that, they had not yet established any criminality in the issue, thus, the closure of the church will be deemed as illegal.
There have been calls from sections of the general public for the closure of the church after four people died in a stampede at the church last Sunday.
Mr Tettey noted that, the closure of the church only lies in the jurisdiction of a higher authority but not the police, as a result of this, until a permit is acquired, it will be very difficult for the Police to close down the church.
