Mr Paul Evans Aidoo, out-going Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, on Thursday appealed to the Brong-Ahafo Regional Security Council (REGSEC) to be strategic in tackling security issues to protect the prevailing peace in the Region.
He specifically said chieftaincy disputes at Nsoatre, Wenchi and Yeji-Kwadwo Baffour posed a serious threat to peace and required a systematic approach in tackling them.
Addressing heads of departments and REGSEC at a farewell get-together at the residency in Sunyani, Mr Aidoo admitted that it had been tough for the security council in trying to resolve the chieftaincy disputes for the for the past one year.
The Brong-Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council organised the party in honour of Mr Aidoo who is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sefwi-Wiaso in the Western Region
Mr Aidoo commended the REGSEC for their prompt response to meetings and asked members to continue to remain neutral and maintain their integrity as well.
He said the cordiality among heads of departments was highly appreciable and appealed to them to maintain that for development to thrive.
