Nigeria has served notice it may be compelled to cut supply of gas to Ghana if debts owed the West African Gas Pipeline are not paid.
Hours after the threat was made, a government delegation is in Nigeria to negotiate and try and avert threats by N-gas to cut gas supply to Ghana if the VRA fails to honour its indebtedness to the company by midnight October 15.
The West Africa Gas pipeline company WAGPCO issued the ultimatum to the VRA and the government for the payment of the $181m owed it.
In an interview with Radio Ghana, the Head of Public Affairs at the Ministry of Power, Kwaku Sessah Johnson said a deal with N-Gas will be reached by the end of the negotiations Thursday.
