Indicted High Court Judge, Justice Ajet Nassam, has up to 10:00am today to appear before a committee set up by the Chief Justice to investigate allegations of corruption against him and other judges.
The committee had scheduled to meet Justice Nassam from Monday October 19 but his failure to respond to any of the committee’s invitations compelled it to issue a final notice of appearance in the Daily Graphic.
The committee headed by a justice of the Supreme Court, Her Lordship Sophia Akuffo in their notice, also stated that they will go ahead with their investigations should Justice Nassam fail to appear before it today.
Lawyer for the Judge says his client is nowhere to be found.
Following the establishment of a prima facie case by the Chief Justice, a committee was established to investigate allegations of corruption against seven High Court Judges implicated in the latest corruption revelations by investigative journalist, Anas Aremyaw Anas in the judiciary.
