The Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur who was expected to join this year's National Farmers' Day celebration in Bolgatanga was unable to attend due to bad weather which prevented him from flying from Accra on Friday morning.
A statement issued by the office of the vice president explained that, the Ghana Air Force, which was scheduled to air lift the Vice President and his team, was unable to do so as a result of poor visibility.
The vice president who was to represent President John Mahama who is in South Africa attending the Africa-China forum, subsequently, joined the Greater Accra Regional Farmers Day celebration at Kpone, near Tema.
