Over twenty thousand persons attended the grand annual homecoming celebrations of Winners Chapel International at the El-Wak sports stadium in Accra.
The colorful homecoming celebration which brought together thousands of members and non-members of the church to participate in singing, prayers, games and other activities was observed in all the various regions where the church exists within the country.
According to the National Pastor of the church, Pastor James Muyiwa, the purpose of the home coming event was for the various branches to have fellowship together adding that it was a reunion of thanksgiving to God.
He hinted that the home coming celebration was a national event of the church and was being held in Accra, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Tamale and other regions in the country.
“God has been good to us in this country and it is needful for us to gather to appreciate Him for bestowing unto us this manner of love and making our case very different in all aspects of life”, he said.
He averred that one of the reasons for the celebrations was to pray for the continuous peace and prosperity of the country and the people who lived in it.
Pastor James Muyiwa disclosed that Winners Chapel International as at the year 2004 had six (6) branches in Ghana noting that it had one hundred and fifty six branches (156) in Ghana as at today in Accra, Tamale, Kumasi, Cape Coast, Takoradi and the Volta Region.
“The church had gone through struggles in some hands where we lost almost everything but God who established his church through his faithful servant, Dr. David Oyedepo has blessed us with one hundred and fifty six branches and today, Winners Chapel International has one of the largest congregations in Africa”, he revealed.
He stated that the church had branches in almost all the countries in Africa and existed in over sixty six branches in the world.
The National Pastor said that the commission was built on the act of giving adding that apart from preaching the message of faith and salvation, the church had been a blessing to the lives of many persons.
Pastor Muyiwa said “the church has over a period of one year, trained more than five thousand people freely in acquiring skills in some vocations. These persons are usually members and no-members who come to acquire these skills to make their lives better. We train them in fashion, computer, catering, etc., regardless of their religious beliefs”.
He however, revealed that persons who participated in the skills acquisition programs received some cash and working equipment to establish them after the training.
He mentioned that the church awarded scholarships to some students hinting that the scholarship package was sponsored by the founding Bishop of the church, Dr. David Oyedepo.
He further said the scholarship was available to all youth in the various African communities and not members of the church only.
Pastor James Muyiwa hinted that the church was embarking a number of projects and had others such as the Winners Chapel International University yet to be commenced.
He therefore called on all to be steadfast in God and to remain faithful to His calling in order to receive the blessing to stay prosperous in all aspects of life.

I am with a family. God bless you National pastor.
I see that your ig norance is a disea se to your body. This get together was announced worldwide almost two months now for the entire winners family internationally before the court verdict. U talk of criminals in the church even among our Lord Jesus Christ disciples there's a ***barred word***, a fraudster among in person of Judas and Christ knew this. Stop being judge mental and who says you will make Heaven with this hypo criti cal behavior of yours?
Only ***barred word*** doubt proofs.
I am not referring to Winners Chapel Ghana, I am referring to you.... You are just a follower, you have no Idea what they do in secret...for the record I know Christ before winners came to Ghana. They do force people in those days...they did forced me....I have more details that will blow your head. But I will be wasting my time here. What do they mean by the case is not lost...or do they think they can execute their plans to turn thinks around?...we are watching with all our eyes. Just take my comment to your pastors, and they will tell who is typing this message. Why did the Pastor make reference to 2004 and 1997 when Winners came to Ghana, or was those records erased from their database? Only GOD can tell. @stella You speak my mind right...Nigerian only condemn people. if you were God, one cannot got to heaven because he spoke against you or your church....But thank you are not....just make sure we meet there. Because I will for sure. You are not those am speaking of. instead of defending them, just start your own investigation on what they are doing in secret.
Wow I love this! You mean over 20,000 people gathered just to praise and appreciate God! I am so sure the God will be moved in heaven and bless them from above. It is only the devil that will be angry that people gathered to sing and dance unto God. No matter the platform if you mock those that praise God like this then!!!! You are looking for the wrath of God. The church is matching on and the gates of hell cannot prevail
You cannot fake the truth. If anyone claims we fake testimonies how about the undeniable growth? And if u have evidence of growth it is a sure proof that people are blessed. We serve one God, there is no different God or Saviour for Nigerians n Ghanaians or any order for that matter. Lets embrace the truth.
Kweku, I am a Nigerian proud one representing my country properly here in Ghana. First from your word, you're not a Christian. Secondly because u said when you yet heaven, means you really want to see God. Your type cannot see God at all. BC u don't have love. Lots of Ghanaians have duped me but that has not stopped me from being loved and shown Ghanaians that comes to me love. And lastly when you don't know what to say keep shut and close your mouth
@kwaku please there is nothing like church politics here, and no case was lost and if anyone forced you to give testimonies to say things that never happened in that church thats a pure lie. Am sure you are referring to winners chapel Ghana not Winners Chapel International because they dont do that there. If someone forcefully takes your company's name and uses it to derail the public and after all his evil intentions God still made your company stand strong after all these years please if you are a christian i think you have a cause to thank God for it. Am not a member just a perspective because if you follow through you will understand
Please stick to God wherever you are now. God is for us all and reveal himself to those who seek. You don't need to be in winners to exprience him. He is right where you are now. This is pure religious politics, why are they doing this only when they lost the case with winners chapel Ghana. Ever since they parted 2004, so so crimes we have experienced from them. they put God on their lips, brain washing the public and claim miracles. I personally stop giving testimonies the first time I tried somewhere 2003. They forced me to say things that they never happened just to please their ego.... See Bro, I will take a Nigerian for a christian only when we meet in heaven... Here on earth...NEVER!.... there are more to this....but let's stop here We lived with them, we know them, that's why we cannot follow them. They are just spoiling Oyedepo's name with their criminal acts...but very soon the chicken ***barred word*** will open for all to see.
I am not a member of his church but i like him for his words of wisdom.
