Samira Bawumia has donated books to pupils from six basic schools in the Lower Manya Krobo District in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The kind gesture, according to the wife of the vice president, is to ensure that school children cultivate the habit of reading.
“It is our goal to make sure that every child in Ghana cultivates the habit of reading through the SEHP School Library in a Box initiative,” she indicated.
This adds to the many social intervention projects she has been embarking on since the New Patriotic Party took over power.
The schools received the books on Wednesday with excitement as they also took the opportunity to take pictures with the beautiful woman.
