The Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service (CID), have released a statement on the directive to investigate the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday reported the FA president to the Police CID for allegedly defrauding by false pretense.
In the latest expose by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Kwesi Nyantakyi, was captured using the name of President Akufo-Addo to lure investors.
A statement from the police indicated that "The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service is investigating Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi, President of the Ghana Football Association for alleged offences including corruption".
