The Reverend John K. Sarkodie, pastor in- charge of the Kasoa East District branch of the Apostolic Church of Ghana, has said that in view of the current wave of crime and immorality in the country, there is the need for a renewed heart towards the creation of a congenial atmosphere for nation building.
"We have reached a stage where we should not conform to the evils of the world but open up for the in-filling of the holy spirit to enable us to be transformed into the stage where God's spirit would make us hate wrong doings and move us to serve the Almighty and the nation dedicatedly", he added.
The Reverend Sarkodie was speaking on the topic "Transforming the nation through Christian values" at a Church service to round off The Ghana Pentecostal Council week last Sunday.
He said as the light of the world, Christians should lead exemplary lives devoid of lip service"
The Reverend Sarkodie told Christians, "you have been put in the world in the likeness of the salt, and for that reason you should impart bible knowledge to those who lack it so as
to lead such people to Christ Jesus".
