We often invest a lot of time and money when identifying, choosing and finally buying the right type of business or social suit that will enhance our image.
It, therefore, presupposes that we are obliged to learn the proper way to maintain these clothes.
For me, I can easily draw a comparison between how you handle your suit and women. You treat them well, they will make you look good, feel good and stay longer. You treat them badly……… well I suppose you catch my drift?
Therefore, caring for and maintaining your suit properly guarantees many years of happy and good wear.
Cleaning your suit
The basic rule that must constantly be observed when cleaning you suit or any clothes for that matter is: Read the label care instructions.
We need to realise that they have been placed there for a particular reason, which is; to provide guidelines on how your clothes should be cared for.
Why invest so much money on your clothes if you can’t spend a few minutes to read the care instruction attached to the attire?
For instance, there are some clothes that should only be dry cleaned, others are to be hand washed only and still some others fall into the wash and wear category. Not the Mr Ibu category!
Now the attached label on the clothes will indicate whether it should be dry cleaned, machine washed or hand washed. It will also indicate whether to tumble dry, air dry and the appropriate heat setting to use when ironing them out.
Dry cleaning your clothes is different from wet cleaning it. It is any cleaning process for clothing and textiles using a chemical solvent other than water. This is the reverse of wet cleaning which uses water, soap and conditioners as a means of cleaning your clothes.
The method to utilise when cleaning your clothes is provided in the care label which will indicate the appropriate steps to take when caring for your clothes.
Stay blessed!
