Business is all about building and maintaining relationships and to executive this move, Union Savings and Loans launched a transitional platform to enable its staff develop and build on relationships with their customers.
To celebrate this year’s customer service week, Union came up with the U-interact project which was custom-made to depict the institution’s assurance to providing outstanding and speedy banking services to clients.
“Healthy Living For Business Success” was settled on as the theme for the U-interact project which is crafted to facilitate communication between staff of Union and clients. The project allows immediate feedback and complaints on service delivery.
Mrs. Afrakomah Obeng Ansong, the Customer Service Coordinator for Union S&L disclosed that they have developed software in-house which allows staff to call customers every day.
“After calling clients and logging it, senior executives would check to see if they are doing what they have been tasked to do by simply revising proceedings on the log sheet. The objective is to know how are clients are faring”.
Union staff also visited some of their clients to help them run their business. In an organized way they visited Urban Taste Restaurant to assist in preparing food and serving food sold to buyers.
In an interview with Cynthia Boateng, the owner of the restaurant, she told Peacefmonline.com she would encourage every entrepreneur to bank with Union.
“Since I started saving with Union, they are the only first bank which has ever given me a loan without requesting for so many things other banks would request for. With Union, it has been very good and their relationship with me has been wonderful. When I go there to save or redraw the staff there are so friendly and now it is like I am part of their family. It is nice and I feel at home whenever I go there”, she noted.
At the Heavy Do Chop-bar, Joyce Biamah, a supervisor at the local canteen also told Peacefmonline.com “Union has a very good customer service relationship with us. They constantly keep tabs on our savings and call us when we haven’t made any deposit in a while. They are always there to counsel us with regards to our business”.
To climax the celebration, Union S& L staged an Executive Breakfast at the Holiday Inn Hotel to highlight the importance of healthy living for business owners and their employees.
In an interview with Philip Oti- Mensah, the Managing Director of Union S&L, he indicated that Union has advanced over the years “largely because our customers recognize our effort consistently improve and delight them, and are reciprocating by remaining loyal and also selling the Union Brand to friends and family. Therefore we dedicate these awards to our customers as part of our customer service week”.
He further noted that “this year’s celebration of the customer service week is to really show appreciation to our clients and focus on giving them a more improved products and service delivery which is in line with our promise of Rapid banking and exceptional service. Our commitment to customer service is evident in the recent survey by Nest of Ideas consult which ranked Union savings and loans number 1 in the savings and loans category”.
The Executive Breakfast was in collaboration with the Eden Family Hospital and the Sugar Project.
