The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has taken over the entire town of Diaso in Denkyira Obuasi following the gruesome lynching of army Captain Maxwell Mahama by the townsfolk.
Captain Mahama was lynched on suspicion that he was an armed robber, after a group of residents from whom he asked for directions during a Monday dawn jogging session spotted a pistol on him.
The soldiers are combing the town for Captain Mahama’s killers.

Everyone in that community does not deserve to live since not even one woman could be heard crying for them to stop the lynching of the armed officer. They are all classified as criminals and very horrified barbaric people who should be banished from Ghana by killing all of them. And to those who are accusing the soldiers should wait till it happens to their relations and they can have the police to carry on their go come investigation. For the DCE & the MP it would have been better if they had taken part physically in the lynching. God will punish them all.

i think this issue must be investigated thoroughly and the cooperate dealt with justly. the investigation should also find out that embolden them. watching the incidence and listening to the audio, i suggest some of the people were misled to partake in the most unfortunate and inhumane act. and also some people planed it over some time. the entire world is is outraged this is understandable but we must not forget that two wrongs has never become one right, let us thread with caution
please INSTITUTIONS work in ghana by GODs grace. Military sensibility disturbed, villagers terrorised all not good for mother Ghana. Pls INSTITUTIONS work. Should institutions be failing us due to Political selfishness, grid and lack of WILL. PLS still dont take the Law into your own hand. One day one day it will be fine, even if not on this earth HEAVEN DEY THERE for we all. thankx
The people condeming the miltary action must be living on another planet. did any of you see the grusome video of the lynching? I completely support the action and thank God I am not the commander in-change of this operation. I would have brought out every man and woman over the age of 18 and subject them to real military physical traininig for over 4 hours. considered the torture CPT Mahama went through at the hands of these basturds. I could not sleep after watching the video. As a Major in the U.S army, i completly sympathize with CPT Mhamah and his family and I pray that God almightly will keep him safe till we meet agian.
my sympathy goes to the young soldier's family but not surprise about the behaviour of this soldiers in that village. two reasons why people join Ghana arm forces, one to earn wages at the end of each month and the other is to terrorised their unarm civilians. they cannot even protect Ghanaians from foreign force.
THE WHOLE TOWN SHOULD INTO BARRACKS OR FILLING STATION
THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE BEEN ARMED WITH A WEAPONS AND YOU ARE WEARING GREEN DOESN'T MAKE YOU A MAN ENOUGH,WHY DIDNT THE ARMY GO THERE WITHOUT GUNS"EQUALLY IF THE VILLAGERS ARE GIVEN ARMS,THEY WILL ALL BE THE SAME LIKE ARMY.
YEBOPOWER wait till it gets to your doorstep and say democracy. Didnt they know democracy before the killed an innocent man. Soon it will be your family member or your sibling.
These soldiers are acting unprofessionally without any basis. Although the lynching of the innocent officer must be condemned in the strongest possible terms, the soldiers are just arresting and terrorizing innocent people without any evidence. In a democracy the rule of law must prevail. Where is the Police are supposed to be conducting investigation. These soldiers are equally corrupt. Flashing guns here and there in support of their dead comrade is not going to bring him back. The country needs some common sense here. The so called Commander in Chief, Gbese Mantse Akuffo Addo must call his men to order. That is not how you go about investigating a criminal case. These soldiers cannot even go to war. All they do is terrorize innocent people. Please let the proper authorities do their job and investigate. The authorities owe Ghana a fair investigation period.
