One hundred and twenty-seven Ghanaians transiting Libya en route to Europe, have been brought back home from the Arab country.
They were part of thousands of African migrants kept at illegal camps in Libya.
The 127 landed at the Kotoka International Airport on Wednesday – around 9:30 p.m.
Their return follows an exposé by CNN of African migrants being auctioned as slaves.
The news shocked the world and many leaders including Ghana’s Nana Akufo-Addo have condemned the incident.
