Ghana's 61st Independence Anniversary Parade witnessed a beautiful display of the red, yellow and green colours with the Black Star in the middle by the security agencies and school children.
The contingent, comprising 1,134 men and women dressed in their respective ceremonial outfits, displayed energy and enthusiasm during the march past.
They wonderfully formed "Ghana Beyond Aid," which is the theme for this year's celebration.
The country's military prowess was in full display with various ammunitions and artillery of the Ghana Armed Forces and other security agencies being exhibited.
Personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces displayed their fitness with acrobatic display in a moving Pick-up, which drew thunderous applause from crowd.
Traders, market women, hairdressers and dressmakers among others were not left out as they wore their beautifully designed Kente cloth and carried their wares to participate in the march past.
Enthusiasts of Karate had a lot to cheer about as a group of Karate practitioners displayed their skills and defence mechanisms in times of attack.
The Ghana Air Force indicated their presence with three military helicopters occasionally flying past the parade grounds.
