An Aide to President John Evans Atta Mills on Wednesday said uncharitable public criticisms of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) by party stalwarts could have adverse effect on the Party in the 2012 general election.
Mr Ludwig Hlodze stressed: "While we have the right to express our views we have to do that with respect to the seat (Presidency) and in doing that we are protecting our dear Party.
"This way, we will use quality time to explain government policies and not to defend issues in the Party," he said.
Mr Hlodze gave the caution at the Volta Regional Conference of the Party to elect Executives for its women and youth wings.
He therefore appealed to members to stop what he described as "the self destructive development" and resort to moves to establish party structures to address grievances.
Mr Hlodze urged delegates to vote for dynamic people to direct the affairs of the Party towards winning the 2012 elections.
Mr Joseph Amenowode, Regional Minister said managing electoral victory was more difficult than managing defeat and called for the patience and support of members and supporters of the Party to enable the government to work systematically towards growing a better country.
"Things will start getting better from January 2010 and I urge all of you to take advantage of opportunities that will be created."
Mr Maxwell Owusu Siaw polled 43 votes to retain his position as Regional Youth Organiser.
Mr Hope Nyavedzi and Siki Abibu polled 55 and polled 54 votes respectively to become deputy youth organisers.
Madam Mercy Kuada was retained unopposed as the Regional Women Organiser with Hajia Hawa and Agnes Tia polling 39 and 30 votes respectively to become deputy women organisers.
