NDC youth group in Tamale called Suglo Malnyori 007 has slammed an Accra based Non Governmental Organization, the Northern Youth for Development’s call on Vice President John Dramani Mahama to resign his post over what the organization described as government’s failure to successfully implement the Savanna Accelerated Development Authority policy.
Apart from the Vice President, the call was also directed at all the
Ministers of State of northern extraction to resign their positions for not doing enough to make the SADA policy play its expectant role towards the development of deprived communities in northern Ghana.
Prince Hardi Adams, Executive Director of the Northern Youth for Development at a news conference in Tamale and Bolgatanga threatened to organize a mammoth demonstration against the Vice President if he fails to resign his post after a one week ultimatum.
It is against this backdrop that the NDC Suglo Malnyori 007 group slammed the Northern Youth for Development and vowed to organize a counter demonstration in Tamale if the Executive Director, Prince Hardi Adams goes ahead with his planned protest.
The Suglo Malnyori 007 group Secretary, Mohammed Awal was responding to issues raised by the Northern Youth for Development at the news conference in Tamale.
He said the group was aware of political machinations hatched by various interest groups to tarnish the image of Vice President John Mahama and pledged the Suglo Malnyori 007 group members commitment to defend him at all times.
Mohammed Awal challenged those perceived detractors of the Vice President to give him a break and allow him concentrate on accomplishing the Better Ghana agenda.
