Mr Baba Jamal, a Deputy Minister of Information, on Thursday commended the people of the Volta Region for giving less problem to the government. We have less agitation and disturbances from the Volta Region and we can only be grateful to the people, he said.
Mr Jamal gave the commendation when he paid a courtesy call on Mr Joseph Amenowode, Volta Regional Minister, during his official visit to the Region.
His visit is basically to monitor government information, diffuse the seeming tension between Assemblies, Ministries and the Information Services Department and to launch the Branding Ghana from inside project.
Mr Jamal lauded the Regional Minister for keeping his hands on the dial resulting in the not too many outcries against the government. Mr Jamal said the peaceful nature of the Region has positioned it for rapid socio-economic development and urged stakeholders to maintain the relative peace in the Region.
Mr Amenowode described the Region as the most peaceful and friendly in the country, adding no wonder we are developing a robust tourism industry.
