The Member of Parliament for Offinso North, Augustine Collins Ntim has filled an urgent question in Parliament asking the Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, Dr Kwabena Duffuor as to why the End-of-Service benefits for both former presidents Kufuor and Jerry Rawlings are yet to be settled.
The NPP MP wants to find out from Duffuor the extent to which the Finance Ministry is collaborating with the office of the President to have the benefits of the two ex-presidents paid to them as soon as possible.
It has emerged that former Presidents Kufuor and Rawlings have not been paid salaries as required by the constitution three years into the administration of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
