The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promised to extend his free SHS policy to cover the Junior High and Primary Schools.
This, Nana Addo hopes to achieve by changing the law on basic education to include the Senior High Schools.
Speaking on his campaign tour at Tamale on Wednesday, Nana Addo bemoaned the current educational system which he says benefits only children from rich families.
By the grace of God when I become President we are going to change the law on basic education Nana Addo said.
Nana Addo also observed that SADA which was introduced by the NDC has brought nothing to the people of the North and promised to bring the NPPs Northern Development Authority when voted into power.
Meanwhile, the Youth Organiser of Peoples National Convention Abu Ramadan has asked the people of the Northern region to reject the NDC in the December polls.
This is the second time in less than a week that Abu Ramadan has stood on an NPP campaign platform to canvass votes for Nana Addo.
Abu Ramadan has already described his own partys presidential candidate Hassan Ayariga as the most ridiculed candidate in the history of Ghanas politics.
He told the crowd that unlike his partys Flagbearer who, in his words, lacks focus, Nana Akufo Addo is worthy of the Presidency.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a visionary leader; we dont want a leader who doesnt know when to stop corruption when it is going on.
I urge every member of the PNC who wants the destiny of this country I ask you that on December 7 to vote for Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP.
