President John Dramani Mahama says all statutory boards whose tenure of office have expired should remain in caretaker positions until substantive boards are established.
President Mahama gave the directive in a statement signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Raymond Atuguba.

His Excellency the President, has directed that for the orderly conduct of Government business, all statutory Boards whose tenure of office has expired should be in care-taker positions until substantive boards are established.
In the spirit of the Transition Act, the Boards shall not take decisions involving a policy issue, sign any major agreement or engage in any significant financial transaction without clearance from the Office of the President.
