The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress has expressed confidence in Ghanas economy, claiming the Mahama government is on the right track.
Speaking on Peace FMs Kokrokoo, Kofi Adams lauded the move by the current administration to seek support for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as part of plans to revive the economy.
Kofi Adams explained that the governments initiative to move to the IMF is not a novelty in the annals of Ghanas history since previous governments; particularly Ex-President Kufour administration replicated such action when the economy reached a deadlock.
He also argued that even advanced countries such as Greece, Argentina, Brazil and the United Kingdom all had to resort to the programs designed by the IMF to stabilize their economies.
Contrary to views from the opposition bench, Kofi Adams believed the IMF deal will help the Mahama government to revamp the crippling economy; hence resolve the hardships confronting Ghanaians.
