Ghana has been listed as a client by the international lobby firm, Jefferson Waterman International.
The American-based lobbyist is reputed for the strategic representation and promotions of multi- national companies and countries in the international arena.
Ghanaian based policy think tank, IMANI, in a statement on Sunday, alleged that the government of the West African country had engaged the firm in a strategic promotions contract estimated at 5 million Ghana Cedis (GHS).
IMANI also hinted that the government failed to seek the advice of the Attorney General before entering into the arrangement.
Although the Mahama - led administration is yet to respond to the allegation, StarrFMonline.com can state on authority that Ghana is among a host of other countries who have signed as clients of the company. Other countries listed on the Watermans website include, Peoples Democratic Republic of Algeria, Bulgaria, Cte dIvoire, Republic of Korea and Rwanda.
Ghana has written to the International Monetary Fund for a programme to inspire confidence in her economy, following a rapid depreciation of the countrys currency, the Cedi, against the Dollar and other currencies of international trade.
