President John Mahama has condemned the misuse of social media to promote falsehood.
Citing the recent voice recording that claimed the deadly Ebola disease was in the country, President Mahama said it is unfortunate that Ghanaians can perpetuate much fear and panic.
He called on Civil Society Organisations and Religious Bodies to wade into the campaign of clearing the rot that has taken centre stage in the social media.
President Mahama was speaking in the Central Region, where he cut sod for the rehabilitation of the Komenda Sugar factory.
