New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand, Kofi Jumah, is in the grips of the Ashanti Regional Police for assault.
The former Asokwa MP is being held for beating up one James Agah, whom he accused of stealing his phone.
The 47-year-old victim was reportedly pounded by the former Kumasi Mayor and six others suspected to be his bodyguards, for allegedly stealing his cell phone.
Sources say Jumah was picked up Friday morning, October 3, after failing to honour an invitation over the matter by the Kumasi Central Police.
