Former National Youth Organizer of the Convention People's Party (CPP), James Bomfeh has advised the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stop being an "election-winning machine in the country.
Speaking on "Kokrokoo" on Peace FM, James Bomfeh called on the ruling party to build proper governance systems which will help them to resolve the economic challenges confronting the citizenry.
According to him, the NDC goes into Ghana's history books as a party that has been given much opportunity by Ghanaians to rule the nation but they have failed to enhance the progress of the economy.
Recounting some failures of the NDC government, he recalled the PNDC era where State-owned companies were sold into private hands and also added that under the reign of the NDC 1 and 2, there have been several law violations and human right abuses.
To him, it's about time the NDC grew beyond just "winning elections and go into governing the country and the peopleThey win elections and it ends there. Governance becomes a problem."
They must go beyond having useful endeavours in winning elections into getting useful endeavours in governing a country and a nation," he advised the party.
