The Electoral Commission (EC) has warned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against breaching the secret ballot rule during their National Delegates Conference.
Delegates of the NPP will be choosing who to lead them to battle in 2016 on Saturday, October 18, 2014. They will be choosing between Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, Alan Kojo Kyerematen and Francis Addai Nimoh.
During the Super Delegates congress of the party held some few months ago at Tamale in the Northern Region, some of the leading members allegedly displayed their ballot paper for the rest of the delegates to see who they voted for.
But speaking in an interview on PEACE FM morning show Kokrokoo, Madam Sylvia Annor, Principal Public Relations Officer of the Commission warned delegates against displaying their ballot paper.
According to her, if the secret ballot rule is broken, the ballot paper will be cancelled.
