The National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress NDC, Kofi Adams says the NDC sides with the acting Inspector General of Police, John Kudalor's stern warning to politicians.
Kudalor warned that his administration will not compromise with any criminality from supporters of any political party, days after his appointment as the new IGP.
Kofi Adams who was commenting on the IGP’s warning on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie noted that Kudalor’s caution is well accepted by the NDC and urged other political parties to do same.
“This is very laudable because criminals associate themselves with politicians to misbehave. People think the NPP and the NDC are the hooligans. The police sometimes hesitate to arrest culprits because of their political affiliation. So if the new IGP is going to work against that, then we in NDC welcome his proposal and suggestion.
"..That will help him in his endeavor as the new IGP,” he told host Kwasi Aboagye.
President John Dramani Mahama appointed COP John Kudalor as acting Inspector General of Police.
Until his appointment, COP John Kudalor was Director General of Police Operations, a position he held for more than three years.
Kudalor has a 20-year wealth of experience in the police service and was in charge of monitoring the 2012 general elections.
He replaces the current IGP Mohammed Alhassan who begins his accumulated leave as he prepares to go on retirement. He was appointed IGP in February 2013.
