Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga has been marked down as one of the casualties never to step foot in the august house after the National Democratic Congress has concluded its November 21, 2015 parliamentary primaries to elect new leaders.
Alhaji Ibrahim Dori, an aspiring candidate confidently tells Peacefmonline.com in an interview that the ineffectual performance of the incumbent MP makes it easier to count the number of days left for him to spend as a legislator.
“Ayariga did not just fail the people of Bawku, he has gone far in undermining their intelligence as far this election is concern” Alhaji Dori said.
Despite the numerous promises Hon. Ayariga has made to the people he represents in Parliament, Alhaji Dori claims basic amenities like toilets and boreholes were things the constituency lacked.
The absence of such amenities has made life unbearable for humans in the area. But under his watch Alhaji Dori pledged to carry out missions which would positively change the life of his people.
“A typical example is the foundation of a toilet facility at Asikiri after he promised the community 8 years ago. Another example is a borehole being constructed at Nyorgo to cool tempers but the people of Bawku Central constituency have vowed to show Hon. Ayariga an absolute exit as they claim they are wiser than he thinks and the time to exhibit that levelheadedness to him is now”, he explained.
Alhaji Dori is the obvious alternative as the rank and file of the party cannot wait for 21st November 2015 to throw their support to him.
