Consultant to the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Eric Ametor Quarmyne has launched a blistering attack on the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for making ‘ugly noises’ instead of providing alternatives to problems he [Nana] claims are bedeviling the citizenry.
In his view, the NPP leader who is 'hungry for political power' is clutching at straws just to be relevant in Ghana’s body politic.
Ametor Quarmyme’s outrage was triggered by Nana Akufo-Addo’s claim that, the cost of electricity per month for ordinary Ghanaians is now more expensive than the rent charged per month.
“Can you believe that today in Ghana, for the ordinary Ghanaian, the cost of electricity is more than the cost of their rent? So forget even ‘dumsor’, it is now ‘yensor’, because you can’t afford to pay. That is where we are,” he lamented.
This comment, seems to have angered the government communicator who on Asempa FM Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, challenged Nana Akufo-Addo to show what he will do to change the status quo while in opposition and not wait to come to power to effect a change.
“As somebody praying to Ghanaians to come to power, it is useless to just complain and not proffer any solutions” he fumed.
