New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth Organiser in the Brong Ahafo Region, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has vowed to resign if the flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, fails to garner 54 per cent of total votes cast in the region in the 2016 general election.
According to him, the infrastructural projects undertaken by the NPP under the erstwhile Kufuor administration had been abandoned by the governing National Democratic Congress.
Kwame Baffoe made this disclosure to Class News during Nana Akufo-Addo’s five-day tour of the Brong Ahafo Region.
“We will get 54 per cent absolutely and we are going to form the majority. Out of the 29 constituencies, NPP is going to get 18 to 20 seats, it’s a done deal. Having put into consideration the microfinance issues, the economic hardships that have engulfed the constituency, and the neglect by the NDC government in the region… If Nana Akufo-Addo does not get 54 to 55 per cent, I will resign from my position,” he stated.
