NDC Member of Parliament for Bia East, Richard Acheampong has advised Ghanaians to stop attacking the integrity of female leaders in the country.
Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme, Hon. Acheampong stated that the impending elections are not a "do or die affair" and so people should not go into the elections with violence.
He urged Ghanaians to note that there is life after the elections.
Hon. Richard Acheampong was commenting on the two Montie FM panelists Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako-Gunn, and the Host of the station's talk show, Salifu Maase a.k.a Mugabe.
He condemned the politics of insults that has become the latest vogue in Ghana's politics.
“Beyond politics or elections, there is life. We shouldn’t allow this politics or the elections become a do or die affair. So, the era of ‘All die be die’ should be over . . . I’ve seen papers where people are advocating for gender equality in governance and all that. And when we give the women the positions, we the same people advocating for this; we sit back and insult their integrity and person . . . So, we plead that let’s give everybody equal opportunity to also do something to develop this country.”
