The suspended General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has extended his felicitations to Muslims in the country and around the world, especially, those in the elephant family as they celebrate Eid al-Adha.
Agyepong together with his wife, Lawrencia in a statement issued on Monday which has gone viral on social media platforms reminded the country about the significance of Eid al-Adha and urged that the occasion “must reawaken our sense of sacrifice, selflessness and service to our families, nation and mankind”.
“As we approach this crucial period leading to the 2016 General Election may Almighty Allah out of his abundant Grace continue to guide and hold us together”, he stated.
Eid al-Adha (Id ul-Adha) is a four-day Islamic festival starting on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja (Thou al-Hijja) to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son.
The occasion is also called the “Sacrifice Feast” or “Bakr-Eid” and is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year. It considered the holier of the two.

Is only God who determine the future, and not Kwabena or Afoko. Our economy is in shambles, the cost of living in this country is very high, and therefore we have to vote for change. weather hook or cook......Nana is coming
Dear Kwabena Agyepong, this your statement is a suspect oo. I would have thought you will defer to the flagbearer. What is the motive? Bringing yourself and your issues to the front burner subtly during this crucial period? I rest my case and i wish you well.
"AM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF THE PARTY" WERE SOME OF YOUR MANTRA THOSE DAYS AND RESPOND TO POPULAR CALLING "GENERAL SECRETARY 1". YOU HAVE NOW SEEN YOUR SIZE. HUMILITY AND TRUSTWORTHY ARE THE WATCH WORDS.
@Ohenewaa, don't you think by your submission, you are also trying to define how Ghanaians will by saying they will ONLY vote per their economic situation? @ George I agree with you entirely. These people suspended for no reason for Christ sake, were voted for and they carry constituencies. It's never too late to do the right thing, again if this is how as a party we want to uphold democracy, hey, like Papa Jay, we'll still have so much to say after Dec 7th. God bless NPP
Please, God bless you for the kind comment. Continue to keep your composure and sacrifice everything possible for NPP to be united. Accept whatever comes your way for the betterment of the party. Convince Afoko, Crabbe and forge for pardon and restoration. Campaign publicly for Nana, Bawumia and NPP for victory in Dec. 2016 elections.
Kwabena was Alan's campaign strategist in the flagbearship contest of the party in 2010 and Afoko was Alan's campaign strategist in the three northern regions as well as coordinator and financier. In effect ,these men like many others ,believe that Alan have a better chance of dislodging ndc from the top. This is the Genesis of their problems with some party people who think nobody should contest NANA in any flagbearership race. All the charges leveled against them were cooked-up. In any case ,the charges were so trivial to warrant such gigantic proportions of excruciating punishment. Some men have been suspended and so is a chunk of the party who have suspended themselves in solidarity with Kwabena, Afoko and Crabbe. Anyone who think that the foundation of the party is not shaken,is either not being truthful or does not appreciate the mathematics of politics
@ K.S Why do some people think or believe that they can determine how Ghanaians will vote on Dec 7.Ghanaians will go to the polls thinking of their economic situation and how difficult or easy to pay school fees in Mahama Ghana and not who and who are suspended in NPP.Are those suspended in NPP the ones to make life bearable for Ghanaians? Why do we overate the importance of certain people to a parties fortunes in elections.
Please I don't think politics is near religion or democracy so stop it else it will confuse me.
Where is the rap of NPP in this message?
