Minister-Designate for Special Development Initiative, Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson has pledged her unflinching support to ensure the full implementation of every promise made to Ghanaians by President Akufo-Addo.
According to her, as Ghanaians are expecting a lot from the New Patriotic Party [NPP] led by President Nana Akufo-Addo, it is equally important to make known that the ruling party has the men and women to work hard to ensure smooth delivery of every promise made to Ghanaians.
Speaking to Peacefmonline.com, the NPP MP for Awutu-Senya East Constituency said “We are ready to work and we are going to deliver 1-District-1-Factory and 1 million-1 Constituency policies.”
The Minister-Designate for Special Development Initiative insisted that her task is to effectively guarantee smooth operations of these developmental policies so that they don’t end up like SADA and other projects which ended in fiasco.
“ . . like the President said, we don’t want a situation whereby it will be like we push money into a ministry where at the end of the day we won’t be able to account for it just as what happened with SADA . . . we are ready to account to the people of this country,” she assured.
“ . . we are going to use the money effectively; to whom much is given, much is expected. We are going to work and we promise that we will deliver,” Hon. Hawa Koomson affirmed.
Special Development Initiative Ministry is one of the new ministerial portfolios set aside at the Presidency to carry out specific task, ensuring that every development initiative outlined in the manifesto of President Akufo-Addo is implemented.

This woman does not give me confidence at all ...she is probably the weakest link in an otherwise strong team of ministers-designate. The other sub- par appointnent us the minister-designate for Transport
I don't understand why Ghanaians want the president to deliver his campaign promise which are viable initiatives and don't want to see ministers for those initiatives whyy??? Since they are all new promises new people MUST also be in charge of them. Please allow allo and be patient
jobs for the girls too. this portfolio sounds a lot like the erstwhile Presidential Special Initiatives which were backbone of corruption and kickbacks. protecting the public purse my ***barred word***.
